About this research
The Brick Meets Click eGrocery Performance Benchmarking is an annual initiative based on ePOS data provided by participating retailers. The study examines the critical business questions related to improving strategy and execution when operating a first-party ecommerce shopping service.
The study typically analyzes 25+ U.S. regional grocery banners, representing sales across more than 1,200 physical stores. Most of the participating 25 banners also sell eGrocery one or more third-party marketplace such as Instacart, Door Dash, Shipt, etc.
Participation & Pricing
Our GOAL is to include as many regional banners as possible for 2026 and have created two tiers who that they can participate via the option that best fits there needs. The identities of all participating retailers will be hidden.
- Paid Tier: Each participating retailer receives a custom Benchmarking Report featuring tailored strategic recommendations based on a comparative analysis against top-quartile performers, priced to scale with your business size.
- Complimentary Tier: Grocers constrained by tighter budgets can choose to provide their data in a timely manner and receive a focused Benchmarking Report comparing their performance to top-quartile peers. Note: This options does NOT provide any custom/tailored recommendations
If retailers are unable to participate in either of the options listed above, they may purchase the full report after it is published publicly.
