Methodology

Conducted by Brick Meets Click and sponsored by Mercatus, this report leverages a sample size of more than 42,000 household responses from our 2022 and 2021 monthly Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Grocery Shopping Survey research waves to compute the equivalent annualized measures shared in this report.

This allowed us to analyze the customers’ core purchase patterns across the major retail formats and compare them with each other and with the overall user base.
